Appropriately for the Season, all of the pupils have been discussing and learning about the difference between `Needs and Wants` as part of Social Studies. As a result of this, they have been thinking about others in the community. We are therefore very proud of :-
-Our Nursery boys and girls, who, with your help, donated a huge amount of toys and gifts to MFR for the Christmas Toy Appeal.
-Our Primary 2s, who, with your help, filled a huge wheel – barrow of items for the Highland Food Bank.
-Our Primary 3s and 4s who will be going up to Highfield Nursing Home to sing carols to the residents.
-Our Primary 6s, who organised the Christmas jumper day, with all the money going to MFR Cash For Kids. They raised almost £140!
Thank you to all the families who supported these initiatives in any way, teaching our children the importance of giving and thinking of others. Well done everyone- a great community effort!
